Heating Oil Prices

2011 Newsletter

YEARLY BULLETIN:

Unrest in the oil-producing nations of Africa and the Middle East has produced considerable instability in the oil market. Sharp increases in the prices of all petroleum products have been seen nationwide, with Home Heating oil prices rising steadily.  We have always offered and will continue to offer the lowest possible price with the highest quality service.

If the heating system in your home is more than 15 years old, your heating dollars are escaping through the chimney. Although your oil burner may be rated in the 80th percentile, your boiler may still be wasting up to 30% of your heating dollars. Please call if you have any questions; we are available for recommendations and/or estimates.

As in the past, budget plans will still be offered. If you are interested in a budget plan, please call our office. If you already have a budget account, we may need to adjust your payments and will try to accommodate everyone. Additionally, if you have a balance, you will need to zero your account prior to beginning your new budget plan.

Although the cost of operations continues to soar, yearly service will remain $89.50 plus parts and tax, and our maintenance contract will total $175.00 plus tax. If you would like a copy of this contract, please check the appropriate box on your postcard. If you decide the contract is right for you, be sure to read it completely as all of your oil needs, including rental accounts, must be purchased from General Oil in order for the contract to remain valid.

We will continue to offer a $15 discount on yearly service if you pay at the time of service and schedule during May, June or July.

Tank insurance is now $39.95 per year. If your 275-gallon oil tank (above-ground only) develops a leak, we will replace it with a new tank valued at approximately $2,350. Tank insurance will not be issued without an inspection.

Please fill out and return the enclosed postcard so we can try to accommodate everyone’s schedules. A daytime telephone number is very helpful for scheduling purposes.

Again this year, General Oil and the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association (ICPA) are extending an invitation to save on your electric bill. Choose ENERGY PLUS as your electric supplier and earn 5% cash back annually and a $25 activation bonus just for signing up. (See enclosed flyer for details)

Also please visit our website www.genoilcompany.com to place orders, check the price of oil or check for any new products in the oil heat market.

Thank you for your continued patronage.
